Christian Healthcare Ministries (CHM) was established in 1981. CHM’s concept originated 2,000 years ago with the early church who “held all things in common” and followed the Apostles as they prioritized meeting the needs of the poor, the oppressed, and their Christian family.
Jesus told his followers that the world would know they were his disciples by the way they loved one another (John 13:35). CHM members are an extension of that testimony as they carry one another’s burdens.
Many believers sold their possessions, pooled their resources, and provided for others so that all needs were met. Through the centuries, Christians became known for the way they sacrificially gave to help others in need. When the load became a burden that was too great to bear, fellow Christians came together and provided for each other.
Healthcare expenses can be among the most devastating cost known to families. Every year, thousands of individuals face financial ruin because of a major illness or accident. That's where CHM steps in.
