Meet your CHM staff: Torie Gable, Lola Lauhon and Laura Miller
Lola recently joined CHM’s Member Assistance department, where she answers questions about the ministry and make changes to members’ accounts. Torie and Laura serve on the team that processes members’ medical bills and enters bill information into the ministry’s database.
What’s one thing you want members to know? We’re going to do our best for them and provide them with excellent customer service.
In what ways have you served the Lord? I’m part of my church’s global ministry and have gone to Haiti three times. While in college, I was involved in Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) and currently lead a FCA huddle at Norton High School (Norton, Ohio) where I coach softball.
What hobbies would you pursue if time and resources were unlimited? Traveling the world, serving on countless missions trips and attending a game at every Major League Baseball stadium.
How do you hope to make a difference at CHM? I want to help CHM employees grow as the ministry grows so we can all better serve one another.
Who most influenced who you’ve become today? Jesus. It may sound cliché, but it’s true. I’m also largely affected by my Uzbek and Russian roots.
What are your top three favorite things to talk about? Family, meaningful memories and TV shows I’m watching.
What’s your favorite Bible passage and why? I recently realized that the armor of God mentioned in Ephesians 6:10-18 is meant not just for protection but also to help us become stronger as we go through battles.
What was your first job? I was a camp counselor at Camp Luz in Kidron, Ohio.
Where have you traveled in your lifetime? Thirty-three of America’s 50 states and also Canada, Mexico and Belize.
